By "Greek Life" the topic refers to fraternities and sororities which are social groups on American university campuses.

This was a public debate staged by the Lawrence Debate Union. This topic was raised due to serious accusations against fraternities on campus and the suspension of one amid accusations of promoting "rape culture."

Proposition debaters included: Alisha Sud, Daniel Cmejla and Amanda Kurtz. Opposition debaters included: Becca White, Paul Gross and William Bugbee.
